Networking Air Quality Observations and Models: From Virtual to Real

The data for air quality Decision Support Systems and Science Teams is typically delivered through dedicated closed ("stovepipe") data systems or through web-based Data Portals. In spite of many years of efforts by [GEO AQ CoP Facilitators|Facilitators]] and interoperability experts, the seamless flow of data from providers to users is still hampered by technological and organizational impediments. There is an emerging network that connects existing data hubs to each other and to these applications. To further this community-supported air quality data network and seek seamless data flow, a workshop is organized on the island Solta in Croatia, where the practitioners will assess the current state of the network; share best practices and seek to transform the network from virtual to real.
