Networking Air Quality Observations and Models: From Virtual to Real

The data needs of air quality management and science are addressed by an array of integration initiatives, such as Data Portals, Science Teams, Decision Support Systems and Facilitators. Data sharing among these initiatives is facilitated by an emerging network that connects existing data hubs to each other and to these integrating initiatives. To further this air quality data network, a workshop is organized on the island Solta in Croatia, where the practitioners will assess the current state of the network; share best practices and seek to transform the network from virtual to real. As its outcome, the workshop should enable the various initiatives to effectively accomplish their respective missions.
