Description of Document:

The World Health Organization (WHO*) estimates that urban air pollution contributes each year to approximately 800,000 deaths and 4.6 million lost life-years worldwide (WHO 2002). This burden is not equally distributed: approximately two thirds of the deaths and lost life-years occur in developing countries of Asia.
