GeoBrain BPELPower Workflow Engine

The GeoBrain BPELPower workflow engine is a standard Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) engine. It empowers users to execute BPEL they have created. A BPEL workflow allows the creation of solutions to business and government by re-using simple software components available on the Web. The software made available through the Web can be inserted into the workflow as a step, whether it is built as SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) services or as REST (Representational State Transfer) services. The only requirement is that these services be described using WSDL (Web Service Description Language). The workflow engine is one of the earliest developed for BPEL. It has evolved and supports all versions of BPEL for geoprocessing chaining. The key features of BPELPower include:

  • Compliance with BPEL4WS 1.1, and WS-BPEL 2.0 standards
  • Strong XML schema capabilities –SOAP 1.1 and 1.2
  • Complete Asynchronous support for workflow– WS-Addressing
  • RESTful Web Service support
  • Advanced security support – WS-Security
  • Human role interactions - BPEL4Peop
