Maggi’s Update on Cascadia Rising: Link to Cascadia Rising page
- National level exercise called Cascadia Rising: First week of June (7th - 10th). Scenario earthquake. Multi-state functional exercise.
- In partnership with California Earthquake Clearinghouse
- Will lead to a series of subsequent exercises (e.g. Haywire Exercise in October, Vigilant Guard Exercise).
- The cluster can observe on Cascadia Rising, and use that as a learning experience to see how we can get more involved, and then apply those lessons in the later exercises.
- How can we observe? At minimum there will be a webex, but we can also work with the data that results.
- The JPL team will also be having telecons during the week of the exercise that we can plug into.
- Info available through xchangecore and spotonresponse (you can sign up for an account on spotonresponse.com).
- Sean will setup a new wiki page for the Cascadia Rising Project on the Disaster Cluster wiki.
Dave's Update on Geo-Collaborate
- Making a lot of progress with the fleet response working group.
- AHC had annual meeting in Philadelphia, where we established a key POC with the weather service.
- Three day workshop: "Data Driven Decision Making Workshop". Determining what the data requirements are for a given hazard event.
- Looking at working with financial transaction data in regard to power outages.
Summer Meeting
- Thursday July 21st, at 2pm and 4pm. (on day three of the meeting).
- First session: testbed and geo-collaborate activities
