- Goal(s) of winter session:
- Outline of summer workshop
- Learning objectives of interacting with Jupyter:
- We want teachers to have a positive experience slightly modifying code (within a Jupyter) notebook to see that it’s not magic ... that they could do some simple code hacking to be able to show .. maps/ remote sensed images / layering on data/ make a graph (animate the graph).
- Give them something to do with their classrooms
- What do we want teachers to be able do?
- Displaying visualizations?
- Make plots?
- Animate the plots?
- Change/ filter / cluster? predictions?
- To do: collect simple examples together - or items that could be modified to be simplified & streamlined
(could I (Shelley) grab the Python code from Chuck on volcanic ash ‘bombs’)
