Document Status: Unsubmitted, 2009/08/31
Parameters: PM10 and PM2.5, weather/wind data

Description of Document: Sand and Dust storm warning advisory and assessment system implemented in order to coordinate international collaboration around sand and dust storms.
Need higher resolution monitoring network: low-resolution PM10 air monitoring network

Satellites: Numerical weather prediction systems or their analysis products that drive these Earth System models use complex parameterizations and assimilation of satellite, and surface-based observations to predict winds, clouds, precipitation and dust mobilization, transport, and removal from the atmosphere.
