Notes

News

  • Karen officially Emeritus! Congratulations, Karen!

ESIP Summer Meeting Sessions

  • We currently have two speakers lined up.
  • First session is assigned to the test bed.
  • Second session is broader scope
  • We may not want to over-populate our sessions with speakers so that we can allow some time for discussion.
  • At most four speakers, three would be ideal.
  • Any other suggested speakers may want to participate in a future telecon and give a talk--Sean will create a google docs spreadsheet so that the group can start compiling a list of these potential speakers.

Poster Discussion for Summer Meeting

  • Each cluster will have a poster to highlight their activities and their focus
  • The disaster cluster should put together a poster
  • Poster elements: vision/mission, plan for this years accomplishments, testbed activities, encourage participation, use-case diagram, esip roadmap for 2015-2020.
  • Sean will be making this poster and will do a group email saying that anyone who wants their work included in the poster should email him an old presentation or poster and he can incorporate that work.

Testbed Discussion (proposal to expand or extend)

  • Can we provide and receive feedback for improved data products?
  • Future advances: testing data delivery mechanisms
  • Only 10 days before submission required, so we should modify the existing proposal to incorporate the expanded goals for the testbed.
  • Action people for the above item: Sarah, Ken, Maggi, and Dave

Final thoughts?

  • AGU newsletter is out, and they will be open for abstract submissions June 10th.

See you all soon at the summer meeting. Gratitude. Close.
