Community Roundtable: ESIP Special Interest Groups: Who's Here, Who's Missing?
Main ESIP page >> Main Meeting page
This session is designed to examine the ESIP Federation’s current breadth of members and consider what other types of interests should become involved. In recent years, there have been opportunities to partner with digital libraries, supercomputing centers, user groups, public decision making bodies, museums, media, commercial software vendors, search engine developers, etc. This short session seeks to identify strategic interests that should be part of the ESIP Federation and how to best satisfy the increasing breadth of partners who choose to be active in the organization. This session will kick-off what is expected to be a series of discussions related to forming Special Interest Groups (aka Clusters) that are inherent to our organization.
