The Vice President of the ESIP Federation serves a back up role to the President and presides over the elected Assembly in the President’s absence. The Vice President also is on the Executive Committee and Board of the Foundation for Earth Science, serving the role of vice chair.   The Vice President works closely with the staff director and may be asked to undertake specific projects. The Vice President must be a Voting Representative to the Assembly and must be from a different ESIP Type than the President. The Vice President typically spends 1 hour/week on ESIP Federation business.<br>
