Live Interoperability CD/DVD

Karl Benedict and I are working on a Linux-based LiveDVD with several open source geospatial software packages. We are hoping to have it ready by winter 2006 ESIP meeting. More info will be added here as they become available.

LiveDVD Contents

Gentoo-based (it's what I'm familiar with)
Includes GRASS, R (with sptools), Octave, GNUPlot, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Apache 1.3.x, PHP 5.x, GDAL/OGR, PROJ, GEOS, uDIG, MapServer, etc.

GeoCaching Cluster

This is an idea that came up while watching a concert in Teaneck, NJ with a few ESIP members--just keeping it here for now.

Epicurian Cluster
