More on the NO2 ideas discussed on Thursday, July 19 -- Steve Young (SteveYoung) 15:22, 21 July 2007 (EDT) -- Steve Young (SteveYoung) 15:22, 21 July 2007 (EDT)

The goal is to develop a capability that is ready for potential roll-out by late October 2007 and possible announcement(s) at the US EPA Office of Environmental Information (OEI) National Symposium in St. Louis in mid-November 2007 and/or the GEO Summit in Cape Town, South Africa in late November 2007.

Target areas include both the public AirNow (airnow.gov) web site and the AirNow-Tech site, which is more of an extranet environment with user ID/password access:

Our scenario revolves around greater exploitation of NO2 information and includes the better and interoperable use of available data from in situ sources and remote sensing, modeling, analytical tools, visualization tools, and perhaps more.
