I would be honored to chair the Interoperability and Technology Committee again. If elected, we will continue to focus on our monthly Tech Dive Webinar Series, where we explore technologies and practices that allow scientists, engineers and developers to work more effectively with data. Lately these talks have been focused on reproducible scientific data workflows enabled by Jupyter Notebooks. A GitHub organization Reproducible Notebooks was created to demonstrate how these notebooks can be launched remotely on the Cloud, so that users can explore these workflows with just their browsers, without the need to install anything locally.

About me: I am a research oceanographer at the USGS Geological Survey in Woods Hole, MA. I have had a long-standing interest in improving standards and standards-based tools for working with model and observational data.
