This project aims to help geoscientists improve their network connections by enhancing informal methods of scholarly communication, leveraging researchers’ serendipitous interactions at professional society meetings. This will be accomplished by tracking research interests at professional meetings using RFID, and feeding that data into newly developed software which can then recommend to meeting attendees in real time other co-located people of potential interest.
