How ISO Does It

Participating effectively in international partnerships is clearly critical to understanding changes that affect the entire world. Using standards that are developed by the international community is a critical part of that process. ISO Standards are developed and maintained by the International Standards Organization and are used throughout the world. At present, Europe and Austrailia are providing leadership in the development and application of the ISO Metadata Standards.
