The Chair also convenes Ficom meetings to consider annual budgets for the ESIP Federation and provides oversight of the Foundation for Earth Science operational spending. The Chair of the Ficom spends approximately 2 hours`/month on ESIP Federation business.  Members of the Ficom spend 3-4 hours/year on committee business in a typical year.
