CF_Conventions Description: CF metadata conventions support interoperability for earth science data from different sources containing model output or observational datasets. It was developed for encoding Climate and weather Forecast metadata in netCDF files. In air quality domain, CF is used for standard naming of air quality and atmospheric composition parameters, for defining the dimensions and coordinates of air quality data sets, discovery metadata, etc. Data in netCDF -CF format in conjunction with the OGC WCS data access protocol provides complete specification for loosely coupled networking of distributed air quality data.
