Description of Governance Committee from the ESIP Policies & Procedures
Governance Committee Chair
The Chair of the Governance Committee serves as a member of the ESIP Board and Program Committee. The Chair also convenes Governance Committee meetings to consider matters affective governance of the ESIP Federation. The Chair of the C&B Committee spends approximately 2 hours/month on ESIP business.
The Governance Committee shall consider all amendments to the Policies and Procedures. This committee will also respond to any Member Organization requests for clarification of the Policies and Procedures document.
Specific duties include:
- Understand the governing documents of ESIP
- Manage, with the Governance Committee, the board's review of and action related to the board's governing responsibilities
