Alternate Resource Title	An alternative title for the resource.
Ancillary Keyword	This field allows authors to provide any words or phrases needed to further describe the data set.
Application Schema Information	Name of the application schema used.
AssociatedDIFs	Specifies the Directory Interchange Format (DIF) identifier for the collection.
Association	Complete statement of a one-to-one relationship
Attribute Accuracy Explanation	The identification of the test that yielded the Attribute Accuracy Value.
Attribute Accuracy Report	An explanation of the accuracy of the identification of the entities and assignments of values in the data set and a description of the tests used
Attribute Accuracy Value	An estimate of the accuracy of the identification of the entities and assignments of attribute values in the data set
Attribute Constraints	Describes constraints on attributes such as a foriegn key in a database.
Attribute Definition	The description of the attribute
Attribute Definition Source	The source of the description of the entity type
Attribute Label	The name of the attribute.
Attribute List	A description of the attributes a data table's entities have.
Author	Author of the cited resource
Author / Originator	The principal author of the resource
Author / Originator Email Address	The electronic mail address of the principal author of the resource
Author / Originator Identifier	A unique identifier for a resource author or originator
Author / Originator Identifier Type	The type of unique identifier for a resource author or originator
Author / Originator World Wide Web Address	The World Wide Web mail address of the principal author of the cited resource
Award Link	A link to information about the award that provided support for the project.
Binding	A protocol and data format specification for a particular interface.
Bounding Box	A bounding box for identifying a geographic area of interest
Bounding Polygon	An enclosing geometric object defined with a series of XY coordinate pairs.
Browse Description	Complete description of the multimedia sample or browse image.
Browse File Name	Name of the file holding the browse graphic.
Browse File Size	File size of browse graphic.
Browse Format	Format of the multimedia sample or browse image.
Browse URL	Location of the browse file on the Web.
Caption	Brief description of the multimedia sample or browse image.
Center Latitude	Geodetic latitude of center of locality.
Center Longitude	Longitude of approximate center of locality.
Cited Resource Alternate Title	Alternate title of the cited resource
Cited Resource Identifier	Identifier for the cited resource
Cited Resource Title	A short description of the (cited) resource.
City	City of the location
Cloud Cover	A percentage value which indicates how much of the area of a granule has been obscured by clouds
Codeset Domain Codeset Name	The title of the codeset.
Codeset Domain Codeset Source	the authority for the codeset.
Collection Data Type	Identifies non-science-quality products such as Near-Real-Time collections.
Common Data Model Datatype	The THREDDS data type for this resource.
Complete Citation	Complete citation for the resource as a text blob.
Completeness Report	Reports on the presence and absence of features, their attributes and relationships.
Confidence	Trustworthiness of a data quality result.
Conformance Result	Information about the outcome of evaluating the obtained value (or set of values) against a specified acceptable conformance quality level.
Constraint Reference	Citation for the limitation or constraint.
Contact Instructions	Supplemental instructions on how or when to contact the individual or organisation
Contributor Name	Contributor to the resource
Contributor Role	The role of any individuals or institutions that contributed to the creation of the data.
Coordinate Reference System (CRS)	Geographic Coordinate Reference System (Authority and ID) for the BoundingBox
Country	Country of the location
Coupled Resource	Identifier and name of the dataset to which the service is coupled.
Coupled Type	Describes the tightness of the coupling to the coupled resource.
Coverage Content Type	The coverage content type is an ISO codeList describing the general content type of the resource. The content types are: image, thematicClassification, physicalMeasurement, auxiliaryInformation, qualityInformation, referenceInformation, modelResult
Coverage Result	Result organising the measured values as a coverage.
Data Dates	Dates associated with the data.
Data Quality Scope	The specific data to which the data quality information applies.
Date Type	Type of date represented by the value in the date attributes of the temporal subclasses.
DayNightFlag	Identifies if a granule was collected during the day or night.
Descriptive Result	Data quality descriptive result.
Distribution Contact	Contact information for the organization or individual that distributes the resource.
Distribution Format	Description of the data format available for distribution.
Distribution Liability	Statement of the liability assumed by the distributor.
Easternmost Longitude	The easternmost longitude of the bounding rectangle.
Editor	Editor of the cited resource
Email	Email address of the individual or organization
Embargo Date	A date after which the data itself will be made public and available for download
End Time	The end of the bounding time period
Ends at Present Flag	Denotes that a data collection which covers, temporally, a discontinuous range, currently ends at the present date.
Entity Type Definition	The description of the entity type
Entity Type Definition Source	The source of the description of the entity type
Entity Type Label	The name of the entity type.
Entity and Attribute Information	High level concept that allows for Overview and Overview Citation Or Entity Type Definition dialect definitions to fulfill the concept contained in the Mandatory if Applicable profile of the FGDC Data Discovery recommendation
Enumerated Domain Value	The name or label of a member of the set.
Enumerated Domain Value Definition	The definition of a member of the set.
Enumerated Domain Value Definition Source	The source of a definition of a member of the set.
Evaluation Method Description	Description of the evaluation method.
Evaluation Procedure	Reference to the procedure information.
Evaluation Reference	Information on documents which are referenced in developing and applying a data quality evaluation method.
Evaluation Reference Document	Information on documents which are referenced in developing and applying a data quality evaluation method.
Evaluation Specification	Citation of data product specification or user requirement against which data is being evaluated.
Evalulation Method	The procedure used to evaluate the measure.
Evalulation Method Type	Type of method used to evaluate quality of the data.
Exclusion GRing Flag	Flag which determines if the coordinates represent the Outer or Exclusion G-Ring.
Fax	Telephone numbers at which the organisation or individual may be contacted via facsimile (fax)
Feature Catalogue Citation	Information identifying the feature catalogue or the conceptual schema.
First Name	First name of the individual
Format Citation	Citation/URL of the specification for the format.
Format of the Online Resource	Identify the format of the online resource
Future Metadata Review Date	Anticipated date of a future metadata review.
GRing Point Latitude	The geodetic latitude of a point of the G-ring.
GRing Point Longitude	The longitude of a point of the G-Ring.
GRing Point Sequence Number	Value denotes the numerical sequence position of a G-Ring point.
Geographic Description	A textual description for a geographic location.
Grid Dimension Count	Number of independent spatial-temporal axes.
Grid Dimension Resolution	Degree of detail in the grid dataset.
Grid Dimension Type Code	Name of the dimension type axis.
Homogeneity	Expected or tested uniformity of the results obtained for a data quality evaluation.
Horizontal Positional Accuracy Explanation	The identification of the test that yielded the Horizontal Positional Accuracy Value.
Horizontal Positional Accuracy Report	An explanation of the accuracy of the horizontal coordinate measurements and a description of the tests used.
Horizontal Positional Accuracy Value	An estimate of the accuracy of the horizontal coordinate measurements in the data set expressed in (ground) meters.
Host Project Identifier	An identifier for the project used by the organization responsible for hosting a project website or including it in a portal.
Hours of Service	Time period (including time zone) when individuals can contact the organisation or individual
ISBN	International Standard Book Number (ISBN) of the cited resource
ISSN	International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) of the cited resource
Identified Issues Citation	Citation of a description of known issues associated with the resource along with proposed solutions if available.
Input Granule	Identifies the input granules for a specific granule.
Instrument	Information about the instrument used to make the observations.
Instrument Characteristics	Description of the Instrument Characteristics attribute.
Instrument Characteristics Data Type	The datatype of the Instrument Characteristics attribute.
Instrument Characteristics Description	Description of the Instrument Characteristics attribute.
Instrument Characteristics Name	The name of the Instrument Characteristics attribute.
Instrument Characteristics Unit	Units associated with the Instrument Characteristics attribute value.
Instrument Characteristics Value	The value of the Platform Characteristics attribute.
Instrument Citation	A citation to reference material that provides details about the instrument.
Instrument Description	Textual description of the instrument.
Instrument Keyword	Keywords that describe the instrument used to collect the resource.
Instrument Keyword Vocabulary	The name of a registered authoritative source for instrument keywords.
Instrument Long Name	Full name (unabbreviated) for the Instrument used to collect the observations.
Instrument Operation Modes	The operation mode applied on the instrument when acquire the granule data.
Instrument Short Name	Short name (abbreviation) for the Instrument used to collect the observations.
Instrument Type	The type of instrument.
Instrument UUID	Unique Identifier for the instrument.
Interface	A set of operations supported by one or more service endpoints.
Issue	Issue of the cited resource
Issue Date	The date the resource was issued
Keyword	A word or phrase that describes some aspect of a resource. Can be one of several types.
Keyword Ontology Citation	Reference that binds the keyword class to a formal conceptualization of a knowledge domain for use in semantic processing.
Keyword Type	Methods used to group similar keywords
Keyword Vocabulary	If you are following a guideline or using a shared vocabulary for the words/phrases in your "keywords" attribute, put the name of that guideline here.
Keyword Vocabulary Citation	Name of the formally registered thesaurus or a similar authoritative source of keywords.
Last Name	Last name of the individual
Latitude Dimension Length	The number of divisions on the latitude axis
Latitude Resolution	The average distance between divisions on the latitude axis
Lineage Scope	Type of resource and/or extent to which the lineage information applies.
Lineage Statement	Information and references for sources and processes that were used to create the dataset and an audit trail for modifications to the original data.
Local Version Identifier	PGE-defined granule version as assigned by the data producer.
Logical Consistency	The degree of adherence to logical rules of data structure, attribution and relationships (data structure can be conceptual, logical or physical).
Logical Consistency Report	An explanation of the fidelity of relationships in the data set and tests used.
Longitude Dimension Length	The number of divisions on the longitude axis
Longitude Resolution	The average distance between divisions on the longitude axis
Maintenance	Describes changes to the data tables or metadata, including update frequency.
Measure	The type of evaluation
Measure Description	Description of the measure.
Measure Identifier	Identifier of the measure, value uniquely identifying the measure within a namespace.
Measure Name	Name of the test applied to the data.
Measure Source Citation	Reference to the source.
Measure Time	Date or range of dates on which a data quality measure was applied.
Media	Media on which the resource is available
Medium Reference	Name of the medium on which the resource can be stored (resourceFormat) or distributed.
Metadata Access Constraints	Information about any constraints for accessing the data set. This includes any special restrictions, legal prerequisites, limitations and/or warnings on obtaining the data set. Some words that may be used in this field include: Public, In-house, Limited, Additional detailed instructions on how to access the data can be entered in this field.
Metadata Association	Other metadata resources that are associated with or dependent on the data described by the metadata.
Metadata Contact	The organization or person currently responsible for the metadata.
Metadata Dates	Dates associated with the metadata.
Metadata Deletion Date	Date of metadata deletion.
Metadata Identifier	A phrase or string which uniquely identifies the metadata file/record.
Metadata Language	Language of the metadata
Metadata Modified Date	Date on which the metadata record (not the resource) was created or updated within the catalogue.
Metadata Profile Citation	Citation for the profile(s) of the metadata standard to which the metadata conforms.
Metadata Standard Citation	The name of the standard to which the metadata conforms
Metadata Standard Version	The name of the standard to which the metadata conforms
Metadata Time Convention	form used to convey time of day information in the metadata entry. Used if time of day information is included in the metadata for a data set.
Metadata Use Constraints	Information about how the data may or may not be used after access is granted to assure the protection of privacy or intellectual property. This includes any special restrictions, legal prerequisites, terms and conditions, and/or limitations on using the data set. Data providers may request acknowledgement of the data from users and claim no responsibility for quality and completeness of data.
Middle Name	Middle name of the individual
Naming Authority	The organization responsible for the maintenance of the identifier (namespace)
Northernmost Latitude	The northernmost latitude of the bounding rectangle.
Online Resource	Online Resource for the cited resource
Online Resource Description	A brief description of the online resource
Online Resource Function	A description of the function of the online resource
Online Resource Name/Title	A name or title of the online resource
Operation Citation	Identification of the mission.
Ordering Instructions	General instructions, terms and services provided by the distributor
Organization Name	Name of the organization
Originating Organization	The organization responsible for creating the resource
Other Citation Details	Other information about the cited resource
Overview	Detailed summary of the information contained in a data set.
Overview Citation	Reference to the complete description of the entity types, attributes, and attribute values for the data set.
PGE Name	Name of the Product Generation Executive that was utilized when producing a granule.
PGE Version	Version of the Product Generation Executive that was utilized when producing a granule.
Pages	Pages of the cited resource
Paleo Temporal Coverage	The temporal extent for paleoclimate or geologic data.
Parameter Definition	The definition/description of a parameter included in the resource.
Parameter Name	The name of a parameter included in the resource. Intended to be used by applications accessing a variable in a file.
Parameter Name (Long)	The long name of a parameter included in the resource. Intended to be used as an axis lable in a plot.
Parameter Name (Standard)	The name of a parameter included in the resource from a standard vocabulary.
Parameter Units	The units of a parameter included in the resource.
Parameters Citation	Reference providing description of the parameters.
Parent Identifier	A unique identifier for a parent dataset or collection
Parent Metadata Reference	Identification of the parent metadata record.
Party	Contact information associated with the resource through the party element.
Phone	Telephone numbers at which the organisation or individual may be contacted
Phone Type	The type of telephone number being provided (voice, TDD/TTY, faxsimile).
Place Keyword	A comma separated list of key words and phrases that give the location of the resource.
Place Keyword Vocabulary	If you are following a guideline for the place words/phrases in your "keywords" attribute, put the name of that guideline here.
Plan Citation	Identification of authority requesting target collection.
Platform	The platform used to collect the observations.
Platform Characteristics	Description of the Platform Characteristics attribute.
Platform Characteristics Data Type	The datatype of the Platform Characteristics attribute.

Precision of Seconds	The precision (position in number of places to right of decimal point) of seconds used in measurement.
Presentation Form	Form of the cited resource
Process Step	A step in the processing that produced a resource
Process Step Description	Description of the event, including related parameters or tolerances.
Process Step Purpose	Requirement or purpose for the process step.
Process Step Reference	Process step documentation.
Process Step Scope	Type of resource and/or extent to which the process step applies.
Process Step Time	Date, time, range or period of process step.
Processing Citation	Reference to documentation describing the processing.
Processing Level	A code that indicates the extent of processing done in the creation of a dataset.
Processing Software Reference	Reference to document describing processing software.
Processor	Identification of, and means of communication with, person(s) and organisation(s) associated with the process step.
Producer Identifier	Unique identifier assigned to a granule by the data producer.
Product Link	A link to a product produced by the project.
Project Contact	The project point of contact.
Project Description	Description of the project.
Project Host	The organization responsible for hosting a project website or including it in a portal.
Project Keyword	Keywords that describe the Project used to collect the resource.
Project Name	The name of the project that the resource was associated with.
Project Sponsor	The organization responsible for funding the project.
Project Website Link	A link to a website with information about the project.
Province or State	Province, state, or other administrative area of the location
Publication Date	Date of publication of the cited resource
Publication Information	Bibliographic citations pertaining to the data.
Publisher	Publisher of the cited resource
Publisher E-Mail	Email associated with the publisher of the cited resource
Publisher Location	Place of publication of the cited resource
Publisher URL	World Wide Web address associated with the publisher of the cited resource
Purpose	A paragraph describing the original purpose for collecting the dataset.
Quality Statement	Information about the quality of the data or any quality assurance procedures followed in producing the data.
Quantitative Result	The values or information about the value(s) (or set of values) obtained from applying a data quality measure.
Radius Units	The unit of measurement describing the distance from the center of spatial extent or coverage to the furthest point covered by the spatial extent of the locality used to determine a circular region representing general extent or coverage.
Range Domain Attribute Resolution	The smallest unit increment to which an attribute value is measured.
Range Domain Maximum Value	The greatest value that the attribute can be assigned.
Range Domain Minimum Value	The least value that the attribute can be assigned.
Range Domain Units	The unit of measurement for an attribute value.
Related Metadata Citation	Reference to the metadata of the associated resource.
Related Resource Citation	Citation information about the associated resource.
Related Resource Identifier	Identifier for a resource related to the resource being described.
Related URL	Resource related URLs that include project home pages, resource information pages, services, related data archives/servers, metadata extensions, direct links to online software packages, web mapping services, links to images, documents, or other data
Release Constraints	Information about resource release constraints.
Report	Quantitative quality information for the data specified by the scope.
Report Number	Report number of the cited resource
Representativity	Degree to which the sample used has produced a result which is representative of the data within the data quality scope.
Reprocessing Plan Note	A note stating what reprocessing may be performed on this granule.
Requirement Citation	Identification of reference or guidance material for the requirement.
Resource Access Constraints	Information about any constraints for accessing the data set. This includes any special restrictions, legal prerequisites, limitations and/or warnings on obtaining the data set. Some words that may be used in this field include: Public, In-house, Limited, Additional detailed instructions on how to access the data can be entered in this field.
Resource Citation	Citation for the resource.
Resource Contact	The organization or person responsible for answering questions about the resource.
Resource Cost or Fees	Cost associated with access to the resource
Resource Creation Date	Date of creation of the cited resource
Resource Creation/Revision Date	The date the resource was created
Resource Distribution	Information about how the resource is available, online, offline, inline.
Resource Format	The physical or digital manifestation of the resource
Resource Identifier	Identifier for the resource described by the metadata
Resource Identifier Type	The type of identifier used to uniquely identify the resource.
Resource Language	The language of the resource.
Resource Lineage	A description of the source(s) and production process(es) used in producing the resource.
Resource Long Name	The reference name used in describing the scientific contents of the data collection.
Resource Quality Description	Description of the quality of the resource or any quality assurance procedures followed in producing the resource.
Resource Revision Date	Date of revision of the cited resource
Resource Status	The status of the resource
Resource Title	A short description of the resource. The title should be descriptive enough so that when a user is presented with a list of titles the general content of the data set can be determined.
Resource Type	A resource code identifying the type of resource; e.g. dataset, a collection, an application (See MD_ScopeCode) for which the metadata describes.
Resource Update Frequency	The frequency with which changes and additions are made to the data set after the initial data set is completed
Resource Use Constraints	Information about how the data may or may not be used after access is granted to assure the protection of privacy or intellectual property. Responsible Party Identifier Type URI	The type of a unique identifier for a person or an organization
Result	The output of the evaluation
Rights	Information about rights held in and over the resource
Role	function performed by the responsible party
Security Constraints	Handling restrictions imposed on the resource or metadata for national security or similar security concerns.
Sensor Characteristics	Referential information for the collection source/sensor configuration.
Sensor Characteristics Name	The name of the Sensor Characteristic attribute.
Sensor Characteristics Value	The value of the Sensor Characteristic attribute.
Sensor Long Name	The generic or long name description of a sensor (e.g. Visible-Near Infrared, Human Visual, Human Auditory).
Sensor Short Name	The sensory sub-component of an instrument.
Series Title	Title of a series that includes the cited resource
Service	The end points supported by the web service.
Service Location	Endpoint for accessing the service.
Service Operation Name	Name of an operation provided by the service.
Service Operation Reference	Provides a reference to the resource on which the service operates.
Service Parameters	A narrative explanation of the role of the parameter.
Service Profile Reference	Profile to which the service adheres.
Service Provider	Organization or person responsible for the service.
Service Resource Reference	Reference to the resource on which the service operates.
Service Standard Citation	Standard to which the service adheres.
Service Type	Standard name for a service type.
Service Type Version	Standard name for a version of a service.
Site	The name or description of the physical location where the data were collected
Site Location	The latitude/longitude/elevation of the physical location where the data were collected
Source	Dataset used in or produced by a processStep
Source Citation	Reference to the processing input source.
Source Citation Abbreviation	Short-form alias for the source citation.
Source Description	Detailed description of the source.
Source Metadata	Reference to metadata for the source.
Source Reference System	Spatial reference system used by the source.
Source Scope	Type and/or extent of the source.
Source Step	Information about a process step in which this source was used.
Source Time Period	Time period for which the source data set corresponds to the ground.
Source Used	The source used in the processing step.
Southernmost Latitude	The southernmost latitude of the bounding rectangle.
Spatial Extent	The spatial extent of the resource.
Spatial Representation	This field stores spatial reference information for the data.
Spatial Resolution	The nominal scale and/or spatial resolution of the resource.
Specific Usage	Brief description of the resource and/or resource series usage.
Sponsor Project Identifier	An identifier for the project used by the organization responsible for funding the project.
Standalone Report Citation	Reference to external standalone quality report.
Standard Name Vocabulary	The name of the shared vocabulary from which variable standard names are taken.
Start Time	The start of the bounding time period
Supplemental Information	Miscellaneous information about the data.
Table of Contents	The contents of the publication
Taxonomic Extent	The extent of the taxonomies coverage.
Temporal Extent	The temporal extent of the resource
Temporal Keyword	Keyword identifies a time period related to the resource.
Temporal Quality Report	Quality of the temporal attributes and temporal relationships of features.
Temporal Range Type	Informs the system and ultimately the end user how the temporal coverage is specified for the collection, granule, or event.
Temporal Resolution	The smallest time step included in the resource.
Thematic Accuracy Report	Accuracy of quantitative attributes and the correctness of non-quantitative attributes and of the classifications of features and their relationships.
Theme Keyword	A word or phrase that describes some aspect of a resource. Can be one of several types.
Time Type	Provides the time system which the values found in temporal subclasses represent.
Topic Category	High level category enumeration used in ISO
Transfer Size	The size of the digital resource
TwoDCoordinateSystem	Bounding extent defined in two dimensions with min and max values.
Types	Describes the data. The XML Schema language (also known as XSD) is used (inline or referenced) for this purpose.
URL	Address of the online resource
Units	The units of the variables data values.
Unrepresentable Domain	Description of the values and reasons why they cannot be represented.
Usability Report	Specific quality information about a dataset's suitability for a particular application or conformance to a set of requirements.
Usage Time	Date and time of the first use or range of uses of the resource and/or resource series.
User Contact	Identification of and means of communicating with person(s) and organisation(s) using the resource(s).
User Determined Limitations	Applications, determined by the user for which the resource and/or resource series is not suitable.
