• GMU demonstration of Testbed Portal on ESIP domain

  • updated to version 7 of drupal - waiting to get domain config correct
    • Erin working the issue with Bluehost
    • Chen and Jing has bluehost login information
  • going ahead with demo on GMU site
    • How to login as ESIP members? Is single sign-on with ESIP?
    • Set up user accounts for all project developers when on esipfed.org
• Discussion of committee budget
  • continue to consider ad hoc testbed proposals?
  • need to request an upper limit of funding that can be used
    • Action: work with Carol and Erin on the wording of a funding proposal for ad hoc activities - in an limited account that can be used throughout the year.
• Yuechen Chi presentation of new Expert Skills database and functionality - possible service for ESIP environment

  • How to add new technologies/skills?
  • How do questions get sent to experts?
  • Action: send out request for testing on Yuechen’s current web location
  • Action: discuss direction for this functionality and submit to Testbed Config Board
• mention two pending proposals (Eric Rozell/Tom Narock and Line Pouchard)
• Using GeoPortal for providing a generic metadata editing capability for ESIP - interest?
  • (John) good feature for new and existing members
  • (Erin) example with AQ that would be useful
  • Action: Suggestions about talking with Stewardship and Documentation about the metadata editing capability and possibly moving that forward
  • Action: Also need to discuss longer-term plans for the Discovery Geoportal in terms of moving to a more production environment within ESIP - if that group sees the need.
• Day/Time for this meeting - new conflicts?
  • Data Stewardship Committee apparently is meeting at the same time.
    • Nancy and Hook probably have conflicts
  • Oct 8 is the next telecon date
  • Asked everyone to send conflicts/issues with current 2nd Monday at 2pm day/time for this telecon.
