Ignite@AGU 2011
NASA’s Applied Sciences Program – in partnership with Sonoma Technology, Inc. (STI), AGU's Earth and Space Science Informatics (ESSI) group and the ESIP Federation – is co-sponsoring Ignite@AGU to discuss Earth observing applications in a fast-paced non-traditional and engaging arena.
AGU’s annual meeting, with dozens of parallel sessions, provides a great forum for in-depth presentations and discussions for attendees. Yet due to AGU’s size, people sometimes find it hard to meet new investigators and get exposed to new research areas. Ignite, a concept created by O’Reilly Media, is a forum of short, fast paced, thought-provoking talks, where presenters get five minutes and 20 slides to make their point. Learn about all aspects of Earth applications, from new information on existing projects, ideas to engage new audiences, innovative techniques for future application, and information on ways to broaden applications exposure.
With Support from the ESIP Federation, light snacks will be served and cash bar will be available. Talks will be recorded for those who cannot attend in person.
