NASA’s Global Change Master Directory (GCMD) enables users to locate and obtain access to Earth science data sets and services relevant to global change and Earth science research. The GCMD database holds more than 25,000 descriptions of Earth science data sets and services covering all aspects of Earth and environmental sciences. One can use the search box or select from the available keywords to search for data and services. We encourage your participation in writing and maintaining the information in our databases. The new version of the GCMD, which was just released, will be demonstrated and offers: (1) A Link Checker Tool that is now integrated into the GCMD database validation to ensure that links are checked at load time; (2) Improved NASA Data portal, including a more dynamic layout using disclosure sections for each Data Center; (3) A Web 2.0 Platform/Instruments user interface providing a dynamic list of platforms and instruments, which allows users to easily sort, filter, and link directly to associated NASA data sets; (4) A new Climate Diagnostics Portal, providing users direct links to climate visualizations. http://gcmd.nasa.gov
