Back to Partnership -- The following applications have been posted for review by the Partnership Committee
Winter 2023 Class
UK Met Office Informatics Lab - Type II
The Met Office is the National Weather and Climate Service for the United Kingdom and a world leader in weather & climate research and operations. The Informatics Lab is a team within the Met Office that focused on exploring future themes in science and technology that will be relevant to the wider organisation on a 5-10 year horizon. The current focus is leading research into applying data science and machine learning to weather and climate research and operations. Themes within this include analysis-ready data, platforms and tools that enable scaling up ML pipelines to meet the requirements of weather and climate, physics-informed-machine learning, Explainable AI, and the potential of digital twins to assist in making informed decisions.
