Cloud Mask
The GOES Imager Spectral bands Band6,Band4 (DIR) and Band1(visible)are used to create a simple cloud mask. The band1 image at 1731UTC on 20070511 is used here to demonstrate the effect of these filters on clouds in the image.
The filters are applied on to this image in the following order
- Band6 (13.31 micrometer) deficit threshold filter is applied on to this image
