This group will assess the current state of the art in data governance practices and standards for climate data in multiple countries with the intention of ultimately implementing an Open Climate Data Repository (OCDR). Implicit in OCDR are metadata and data access recommendations. This includes making data semantically searchable and accessible with a focus on Linked Open Data publication and consumption. This group is inherently multi-disciplinary with a combined focus on science and technology that spans several ESIP focus areas.
