INNOVIM is looking for a Software Developer to join the staff and team in Greenbelt, MD. Candidate must have 7-10 years formal development experience, understand GIS/Geospatial data, 3-5 years exposure to WCS/WMS Open Geospatial Consortium specs, and strong communicator with team leadership and client management skills. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, GIS, Remote Sensing or related field preferred • Experience with WMS/WCS, Java, SOAP, REST, AXIS, XML • Understanding of remote sensing and/or GIS concepts • Experience interfacing with external customer • Experience with OGC specification Open Search a preferred • Experience with remote sensing data, technologies a plus • Solid grasp of relational database systems such as Postgres, MySQL • Hands-on experience in full software development cycle • Professional skills: ability to work independently and with a team. • Ability and desire to understand and master new technologies quickly • Ability to quickly understand and solve unique and undocumented programming problems. • Must be energetic and self-starting.
