From Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP)

Tamara Shapiro Ledley
Senior Scientist and Chair, Center for STEM Teaching and Learning
TERC, Cambridge, MA

I am running to be chair of the ESIP Federation Constitution and Bylaws Committee. I have been a member of the ESIP Federation since the original 24 projects were funded by NASA in the late 1990’s. The opportunity to network, partner, and work with a professionally diverse community with a common interest in making Earth science information and data available and useful to all communities has been the basis of my long involvement in the ESIP Federation.

I have served in various roles in the ESIP Federation including Vice President, Chair of the Standing Committee for Education (founding chair), Type III Representative, and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Earth Science. I am the current chair of the Constitution and Bylaws Committee. The Constitution and Bylaws is the foundation on which the ESIP Federation is organized and run. With my history in the ESIP Federation and my belief of the importance of maintaining this strong foundation I am running for another term as Chair of the Constitution and Bylaws Committee.
