Tyler B. Stevens
Earth Science Metadata Specialist and Science Coordinator
NASA’s Global Change Master Directory (GCMD)
Greenbelt, MD
I am running for Chair of the ESIP Partnership Committee. I have been an ESIP member since 2006 and been active in several of the committees including Preservation and Stewardship, Discovery, Information Technology and Interoperability, and Products and Services. For the last year, I have served as the Type 1 representative on the Partnership Committee. I have been working for NASA’s Global Change Master Directory (GCMD) since 2002 and have both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Geography from Towson University.
My experience in coordinating and collaborating with both U.S. and international organizations to create and maintain Earth science metadata and keyword vocabularies gives me the valuable experience as I work to interact with the Earth science community and assist in bringing new and strategic partners to ESIP. Supporting and interacting more with existing ESIP members will also be a priority for me as chair. I look forward to serving ESIP and assisting in moving the federation forward.
