Summer 2007 Technical Workshop: HYDRA demo and hands-on exercise
HYDRA is an interactive visualization and analysis tool developed to explore and research multi-spectral and hyper-spectral satellite data. It is used extensively around the world in the education and training of remote sensing scientists, as well as in the development of remote sensing applications. HYDRA has been developed using VisAD, a start-of-the-art, interactive display and data integration application programming interface. VisAD is a cross platform, Java(TM)-based, open-source library enabling the development of highly interactive, 3-D displays from disparate data sources. A demonstration using MODIS and AIRS Level1B/2, CALIPSO, as well as, a short hands-on exercise will be provided.
What to bring:
- Your laptop. A CD will be provided with HYDRA and the data needed for the exercises.
