SPARKvue: Science Learning Application

From Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP)

SPARKvue is an app designed by PASCO Scientific to help educators in creating learning environments. Its features include real-time measurement, data visualization, collaboration, and analysis.

The latest version

The latest version of SPARKvue was released on June 26, 2014. It allows data sharing and collaborating on lab activities in real time. Students and teachers got broader capabilities. Thus, with the advanced SPARKlab authoring tools, educators can design their own interactive lab activities and create customized assessment questions, so they know how their students understand the material. Teachers can create their own SPARKlabs or use labs from PASCO and its partners.

Operating system compatibility

SPARKvue is available as a free application for Chromebooks (the creators ensured the possibility to collect data on the Chromebook using sensors), iOS, and Android. It can be downloaded at the App Store, Google Play, or the Chrome Web Store.

SPARKvue also supports Windows and Mac computers, for which users can download a free 60-day trial. SPARKvue is not demanding, so there is no need to clean up Mac hard drive or delete necessary files on Windows to download and install it.
