Earth Exploration Toolbook

From Earth Science Information Partners (ESIP)

Earth science data that can be used effectively by students has been difficult for teachers to find and access. The Earth Exploration Toolbook (EET, http://serc.carleton.edu/eet) is an online resource that provides step-by-step instructions for accessing specific data sets and data analysis tools, importing the data into the analysis tools, and conducting an analysis around a specific Earth science concept or process. In this session we will have an overview of the EET and its 25 live chapters (on the order of 20 more are under development) and how to identify EET chapters of specific interest. Teachers will have the opportunity to have a more in-depth hands on experience with one or two of the EET chapters.
