In addition, required travel expenses will be borne by the Foundation for Earth Science. Participation in the Fellowship after the Summer Meeting is contingent on satisfactory performance. Job Purpose
Student Fellows will work with ESIP Clusters to support documentation
Duties
- Rapporteur for a single cluster or work group that aligns with research interest
- Document monthly telecons (~1 hr) on the ESIP wiki
- Document Summer and Winter Meetings (~6 days total) on the ESIP wiki
- Support the cluster use of collaborative technologies including, but not limited to: Twitter, WebEx, wiki, drupal, google docs,
- Share research with community at the poster sessions during physical meeting
Skills/Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be in a graduate program (M.S./Ph.D.) or a post-doc less than 2 years beyond your Ph.D.
- Research in Earth/environmental sciences and the use of scientific information.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to attend the full duration of both Summer and Winter Meetings
