12. Does your organization use a virtual globe to display data images or inventories for users? What are your requirements for such tools? How important are these tools for your future plans?
Yes we use these. There is a need for better polar projections. These tools are likely to grow in function and popularity, therefore they are important.
In the future, they should have more analysis abilities and better handling of large data sets.
- Visualization makes data matter (Globe or no).
- Facilitates data integration (via map layers)
- Due to standards (!)
