Metadata Scope

The MD_ScopeCode provides a standard general description of the scope, the MD_ScopeDescription provides more specific detail about the scope. If the MD_ScopeCode is "attribute", the MD_ScopeDescription provides a list of specific attribute names or identifiers. If the MD_ScopeCode is fieldSession, the MD_ScopeDescription provides a description of a specific fieldSession.

ElementsDefinition and Recommended Practice
Examples
1attributes1instances of attribute types to which the information appliesTropHeight_*
2features1instances of feature types to which the information appliesswaths, grids
3featureInstances1feature instances to which the information appliesa1c963f0-d2c1-11e6-9598-0800200c9a66, a1c963f0-d2c1-11e6-9598-0800200c9a67, a1c963f0-d2c1-11e6-9598-0800200c9a68
4attributeInstances1attribute instances to which the information appliesTropHeight_A_max, TropHeight_A_min
5dataset1dataset to which the information appliesClrOLR*
6other1class of information that does not fall into the other categories to which the information appliesdatasets collected by the scanner
