  • Data interoperability "Virtual" Workshops
    • Action Item - John White volunteered for Airnow to pilot the idea and will give a presentation?? on next call to see if this is what the group had in mind. See also J White: Airnow & GEOSS in EarthZine.
    • AIRNow
      • REST services: xml, csv, kml, json, netCDF
      • OGC WCS for point data, returns AQI surrogate data
      • OGC WCS for point, time-point, and grid
      • Issues/questions:
        • web services require authentication (using API key)
        • payload options and formats (netCDF is evolving)
        • need to make things uniform
    • Is it still true that the focus of Data Interoperability Virtual Workshop...?!
      • Exposing existing services by multiple providers,
      • Comparing, identifying differences, reconciling implementations
      • Agreeing on 'AQ Community' conventions that harmonize interop standard services
