Cathy Vaughan (Cv2195)

Cathy Vaughan is a staff associate at the International Research Institute for Climate & Society, where she coordinates the Latin American Program and serves as program manager for the international Climate Services Partnership. Cathy is also a doctoral candidate in the School for Earth and the Environment at the University of Leeds, where her research focuses on developing metrics to assess the relative value of climate services.

Before joining the IRI, Cathy worked with the Global Roundtable on Climate Change, the Austin Chronicle, and the New York State Department of Health; from 2003 to 2005, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural Zambia. She holds masters' degrees in International Relations (Yale, 2007) and Climate and Society (Columbia, 2008). Her undergraduate degree, in history and biology, was awarded with High Honors from Swarthmore College.
